Southern California Restaurant Writers Association has donated over $100,000 to advance the education of worthy individuals in the fields of restaurant service, enology, and the culinary arts, naming the program after its founder. This year the "Doris Crandall Scholarship Award" has given grants to the following educational facilities' culinary arts programs:

Orange Coast College
Riverside College
San Bernardino Valley College
Santa Barbara City College
